    Nano Drabble #21
    Still got this not-quite-the-flu thing dogging me, so yesterday wasn't brilliant word-wise, but I think ch6 might be done, leaving me with one chapter to wrap things up! The plot jumped the outline, of course, but I still feel like the pace I've set will work, and I'll finish up between 50-60K words.

    Podling's doing quite well, and almost kinda sorta making friends with Bella. Well, OK, becoming a normal annoyance rather than a bizarre new creature of mystery. Like they do.

    Today we recognize the hard-won achievement and dedication of artists and their teams who strive for excellence in fanart and Snarry. I know that every Champion worked hard for the good of their team and they all deserve highest marks for their efforts. We were all lucky to have won something during these Games.

    However, in the competition we set out to do, the Snarry Games Judges (you, the readers) have voted to score these teams, both having shown up to these Games with the most stellar of performances, allowing one to edge out the other for Gold.

    There is always, always, always something to be thankful for.
    Dear Friends of Snarry:

    Hi. My name is [info]djin7, and it's time that we begin to say goodbye to the 2008 Snarry Games.

    This was an amazing year, and the Art Games once again showed that the most talented people are still within the Snarry fandom. We had 50 truly exquisite pieces of art, and as always, great 'crack art' & interviews. We were able to post twice daily for nearly a month, and we have a great group of artists to thank for that.

    Also, many Champions, past and present, helped this round of the Games with pimping and reccing, and commenting. Our hope always has been to help facilitate a sense of community in this fandom, hoping to keep the SS Snarry sailing on happy waters. When we see how fantastically supportive past champions are, whether author or artist, it makes all our hard work worth every minute spent. Thank you, all!

    I ran across a quote that reminded me of fandom; and of Snarry in particular:

    How did it get to be the 18th already? XD I passed up 35K last night and then went to bed early, expecting to be (and getting) woken up several times in the night by Pod. Once I managed to convince him that kitchen counters aren't that interesting really, I actually got a pretty good night's sleep. Bella's already stopped bothering to hiss at the little intruder, and mostly tries to ignore him now. Bonus!

    Since I was feeing silly, the drabble, uh, reflects that. A lot. Do not let the "kink" scare you off, as it is totally Gen. Sorry, Ravenna? XD

    Kitten!
    So, I had a nice nap this afternoon, and was settling in, getting ready to get some work done when my phone rings. It's a client, so, I figured it was probably more work, yay. Nope! It turns out someone abandoned a very cute little black kitten outside their place of business, and since she knew I was thinking of getting one, well, here he is! She kindly took him to the vet first to make sure he wouldn't be bringing home anything nasty for my other kitty, who is Not At All Sure About This but so far hasn't kicked his little fuzzy but.

    His name is Pteropodidae, Pod for short.
